The FACEs project is a not for profit social enterprise providing therapeutic recovery for children and adults who have experienced and are affected by Adverse Childhood Experiences of any kind.
FACEs is registered with the British Complementary Medicine Association, Associate Member of the Anti-Bullying Alliance, and is an Associate of Freedom from Abuse.
Established in 2018, the programme consists of a team of professional 5 Awakenings Therapists who are prepared to offer time voluntarily for groups and individuals affected by ACEs – adverse childhood experiences and PTSD.
The project also offers a professional coaching programme for pastoral care and senior mental health leads in schools and colleges, care organisations and NHS.
Our process of recovery brings immediate positive outcomes achieving personal freedom, empowerment and choice.
Our aim is to initiate confidence, restore self-worth and help those affected to achieve better lives.
The therapeutic approach encourages children to feel more self assured, safe and confident, especially in challenging situations.
This eliminates feelings of inferiority, inequality and encourages equality in interaction and communication.
We infer that confident, stress-free children extend their learning ability and can become a more inherent part of the community.
