FACEs Freeing Adverse Childhood Experiences
A programme to help children recover from adversity
FACEs is a dedicated team of volunteers providing therapeutic care for children.
Registered with the BCMABritish Complementary Medicine Association
Sessions cover any aspect of adversity, suffering, abuse, PTSD or adverse experience and are equally effective for children or adults.
Professionally led sessions from specially trained therapists use and teach our holistic release and recovery method in asafe, friendly, compassionate environment without a need for repetitive dialogue. Our unique therapy is efficient and thorough and guides the recipient safely through the healing process.
We teach andsupply templates for the process to be used forongoing self help.
Our aim in the therapeutic session is to free the disruptive energy of the adverse experience, establish progress and bring personal freedom, empowerment and choice. Our method encourages children/adults to feel more self-assured, safe and confident, especially in challenging situations
Primary sessions last from 40 minutes to one hour and are available one to one; small group or online.Any follow up will be arranged from this.
Results are outstanding.
Now being used in schools with a dedicated coaching programme for pastoral staff; we provide an effective working tool that the faculty can use for themselves. The same scheme is available for foster carers and socialworkers.

“Children learning and using this tool are happier; calmer; less anxious; more confident; self-assured and more able to face challenging situations“
“Having been a pastoral leader in a large secondary school for many years, I have sometimes struggled to know how best to support disaffected pupils.Usingthe 5 Awakenings Sequence with some vulnerable pupils has made such a difference. Gone is the anger and disruptive tendencies, replaced with calmness and the willingness to start engaging with support workers allowing them to remain in mainstream education.’
